My name is Xavier Derkx. I’m a French physicist and software developer. Originally from Paris, I currently live and work in Glasgow, Scotland.
I started my scientific career as an academic researcher in France. After studying fundamental Physics, I completed a doctorate in nuclear Physics. I then worked as a postdoctoral researcher in Scotland and Germany.
Later, I joined an industrial company as a design engineer and a financial multinational corporation as a software engineer. I also went back to University to study Mathematics.
Nowadays I focus on basic research, modelling and analytics, developing my own tools and ideas.
